The Marketing Revolution I’ve Been Waiting For
I've been in this industry for over 10 years now, and if there's one thing I’ve learned, it’s that marketing has way more chaos than it should. Whether it was a small business owner trying to juggle everything from Instagram posts to email campaigns or a boutique owner who was expected to be a one-person marketing team, there was always one glaring problem: no clear structure. It was confusion on top of chaos, and it was holding back so many businesses from thriving.
Every single person I’ve worked with had one thing in common: they were all trying to play the role of marketing director for their own business. And I get it—who knows your business better than you? But trying to wear that many hats was burning people out. Meanwhile, agencies were becoming more and more focused on their bottom line, leaving clients feeling unheard and undervalued. It was clear to me that there had to be a better way.
That's when I decided: I can do better than this.
Taking it Back to 2014: The Beginning of Something Bigger
Let’s rewind to 2014. I was working retail at a boutique, back when boutique culture was at its prime. My job? Keep up with social media and write blog posts for the store. It was fun, but I was also convinced at the time that I was going to own my own boutique. I was set on it—I mean, I’d been dreaming of owning a business since I was a teenager. But it took me several years and several boutiques to realize the truth: I was actually enjoying the marketing side way more than I was enjoying running the store.
By 2019, after managing five small businesses and leading marketing for them all, I knew it was time for a change. I decided to jump into the world of freelance social media, and let me tell you, I was hooked. There was something so freeing about it—working for myself, helping other small businesses, and seeing results.
Fast forward a few years, and I was offering everything from blogs, ads, email campaigns, lead magnets, funnels—you name it. My clients were scattered across the country (and even a few other countries), but something wasn’t sitting right. I had expanded my services, but I wasn’t truly piecing it all together. I wasn’t in contact with the other teams these businesses were working with, and that didn’t make sense to me. Marketing isn’t just about running ads or posting on social media—it’s about creating a cohesive strategy that ties everything together.
The Rebrand of Eclectic Social Solutions
That’s when Eclectic Social Solutions as you see it today truly took shape. While I had always been passionate about helping businesses with their marketing, it was clear that the traditional, fragmented approach wasn’t working for my clients. They needed more—a clear, cohesive strategy that didn’t just throw together social media posts and ads but connected everything, from lead magnets to email campaigns to their website.
I realized the women I was working with deserved more—more clarity, more structure, more results. They needed a marketing solution that wasn’t just about checking boxes but about creating something long-term, sustainable, and designed to grow with them. And so, I took the leap to rebrand Eclectic Social Solutions, focusing on providing comprehensive marketing strategies that tied all their efforts together into one cohesive plan.
By combining my experience in social media, blogging, email campaigns, and funnels, I was able to create a full-service solution that helped businesses find clarity, reclaim their time, and stop burning out in the process. It was time to stop piecing things together and start offering a more streamlined, impactful service that made marketing feel like a powerful tool, not a constant stressor.
A Little Inspiration: Marie Antoinette and the Demand for More
Now, here’s where it gets a bit...decadent. As I started brainstorming what I wanted Eclectic Social Solutions to look like, I kept coming back to one word: more. I wanted more from this industry. I wanted more from my work. More for my clients. And that’s when the idea of Marie Antoinette popped into my head. Yes, that Marie Antoinette—the one who famously demanded “more” (or so they say).
Her demand for more, her unapologetic boldness, and her luxurious, take-no-prisoners attitude? It resonated. I was ready to demand more from the industry—more for my clients, more clarity, and more structure. And honestly, who better to embody that energy than Marie herself? After all, if she can take the throne with that much flair, I can certainly take on the marketing world with some serious confidence.
The Eclectic Vision: More Than Just Marketing
So here we are, with Eclectic Social Solutions set out to do more, be more, and give more. We’re not here to provide just another generic marketing service. We’re here to give businesses the tools, the strategies, and the clarity they need to build something real. Something they can be proud of, without the chaos.
And if that means demanding more from the industry and feeding businesses the marketing strategies they crave—then let them eat cake.
